Product Description
This gritty Northern period drama, set in Gallowshields on Tyneside between the World Wars, follows the struggles of former sergeant Jack Ford and the Seaton family as they deal with the aftermath of the Great War, the great depression of the 1920's, trade union activists and uncaring society.
It is a time of economic depression, however Jack is not one to suffer.He has been elected as the District Secretary for the Fitter's Union and apppoints his brother-in-law Matt as his deputy.
